Welcome to dBlog,
Unlike my other blog (http://www.mdipi.com) this is more of a personal, whats up with me, type of blog. Unlike some other things you’ve seen, I dont intend to bore you with my drama, or how much homework I have on any given day, etc. This will be more of a spot for me to express things on a more personal level, instead of a professional analytical enviornment.
That’s pretty much the setup. You’ll see shorter, more frequent postings. I have a feeling that both blogs will still continue to be strong, but this will deffinatly be my new child for now. Cult of the Mike isn’t going anywhere though, so don’t be too concerned (if you were concerned in the first place that is). Althogh lack of updates lately have been abundent, my time is pressed. Currently my day is something like this:
- 6:30: Wakeup, shower, dress, pack for school
- 7:20: Grab a breakfast and run out the door
- 7:30: Get to school, do some last minuet work, socialize
- 7:50: Class until 3:05/3:20 or 11:15/12:05 (M,T,Th,F and W,S, depending on the day/week)
- 3:20: Water Polo practice until 5:30/5:45
- 6:00: Dinner and socializing
- 6:45/7:15: Homework
- 11:00: Bed
As you can see, blogging intensly doesn’t fit very well into any of thsoe time slots. That schedual is pretty much what I go through on a day to day basis, 6 days a week. Sundays i tend to just do homework, go to Church, and then maybe watch a movie and try to unwind. I intend to work on a few essays that aren’t so time oriented and release them over my school breaks to Cult of the Mike and see how that goes. If it works out, that’s what I’ll do during the school year.
I’m about finished working on a new project. Until hosting for it is bought, and the beta is in place, I don’t want to officially say anything too much. So far what I can tell you:
- I’ve built a CMS from scratch
- It will revolve completely around the Mac
- It will be somewhat user oriented, with a community
I’m finsihing it up like I said, then all I have to do is purchase the hosting, upload everything, and get it off on a beta test run!
Off to a good start so far, this post was a bit lengthy, but hey, its the introduction, so a lot had to be covered. You wont see too many monster posts, I swear (I even had my fingers un-crossed).
Keep your eyes pealed,
Mike
